Newport Beach Garden in Spring


This Newport Beach Native Plant Landscape was planted by volunteers at a Back to Natives Landscape workshop last January (2010). See photos of the workshop HERE.

I love the way the dudleya and the grasses look in the DG (decomposed granite) mulch.

The frequent rain gave it a jump start and it looks fabulous in thes photos taken this Spring!

The golden yarrow in flower is spectacular!
Holes were drilled in this rock wall and dudleya and blue eyed grass were planted within them. They are watered by modified drip irrigation (micro emitters) from above.

I love the blue-eyed grass in the holes in the rock. What a brilliant idea!
